Why we built RentX

Letting agents kept asking us the same question: "can ChatX know which units are actually free this weekend?" The answer was no — until it was yes.

The conversation we kept having with letting agents went something like this. They'd love a chat agent on their site. They'd love it to answer questions. They'd love it to capture leads. But could it tell a visitor whether that specific two-bedroom on Bilderdijkstraat was free this weekend? Without making it up?

Until late 2025, the honest answer was no. ChatX was trained on whatever you put on your website — but unit availability lives in your PMS, changes hourly, and is the one thing a visitor actually wants to know.

The PMS connector

RentX is ChatX with a new skill: it can read your PMS in real time. We started with the three systems most common in EU letting — Reapit, Domus, and PropertyMe — and added a generic CSV bridge for everything else.

"We close viewings on weekends now. That didn't happen before RentX." — Elena Marković, Stadhouder Vastgoed

What's next

Tour scheduling is the obvious next step. We're piloting that with three agencies in Q3. After that: tenant-portal integration, so RentX can answer in-tenancy questions too — repairs, lease renewals, deposit returns.
